Joy Glanzer came to Gainesville in 1973 as a University of Florida student. As many people do, she fell in love with the area and never left. She married John Glanzer and together they have four children. Over the 47 years spent living in Alachua County, Joy has owned and operated several businesses. She is currently broker owner of Glanzer Realty in Newberry.
Her passionate advocacy for issues that matter to her has driven her to be a public servant all these years. She co-founded the Newberry Jonesville Chamber of Commerce and has been an advocate for small businesses. Other accomplishments include:
She will use her passion as your next County Commissioner to navigate through the difficult times we face as COVID-19 continues to affect our communities. As a bridge-builder, she will bring us back to a more humane way of communicating with each other and to a civility that has been lost. Joy is committed to making our county the place we never want to leave.
